Remove Toxins with a Detoxing Bath

Baths are calming and moisturizing, and Detox baths are meant to make you sweat and flush the body of toxins, relieve stress, headaches and sore muscles. During the winter months the body craves extra moisture for dry skin and detoxification from holiday binge eating many of us experience.

What you need to DIY a Detoxing Bath:

 ½ cup Epsom salt

1/2cup baking soda

3-5 drops of essential oils (Cultured Natural Lavender Body Oil to soothe and relax or Strawberry Lemon Body Oil as a natural detoxifier)

Organic coconut oil or Shea Butter

To make:

Do not eat , only drink water for 30 minutes before bathing. Run bath water as hot as you can tolerate. Add the Epsom salt, a few shakes of baking soda, and a few drops of Cultured Natural Oils.

Soak for 20-30 minutes. Relax your body and mind, listen to music, a podcast or just close your eyes and mediate. Once finished, stand up slowly, as you may be a bit dizzy after spending time luxuriating. Quickly shower with cold water to help with the dizziness and to cool your body down.

Towel dry and apply Cultured Natural Shea Butter Body Butter with essential oils of Lavender or Strawberry Lemon. Avoid eating for at least 20-30 minutes; drink plenty of water to replenish fluids lost while detoxing.
